So this is Christmas...
doesn't make you feel all funky inside?
Many thanks for all you
loyal solesides.com visitors for being part of making 2004 as dope as
it was. Thanks for all the feedback and input for the site. Without
y'all, it could have never been done (cliche, but true).
Xmas - time for presents!
Here we go:
This year, all you
producers out there were asked to make your own remix of "Do That
There" by Lyrics Born. Solesides.com provided the a capella and you
did the rest. The remixes that you sent in, were available as
weekly download.
Some of them were really great, so here we go one more time:
The best remixes are
available in the
weekly download
for a couple of days, so get them all! Also, 2 new, never heard
remixes are available.
Do it!

At the solesides.com
forum, "agentlovette" came up with the idea to start a solesides group
on
soulseek.
We all know downloading (copyrighted) music is illegal, but this group
is a nice way to get in contact with other solesides.com frequenters
and share music, like self made tracks, mixes etc.
How to get on there?
1.
Download
soulseek
2. right
click in the rooms section, and select "create room". type in
"solesides" and it will automatically put you in, then at the top you
can select "toggle room auto-join" under chatroom so it will
automatically log you in to the room whenever youre on. This way we
can all hang out in one place, chat, trade whatever.
thanks for the idea, "agentlovette" !!
Oh, don't forget to share your soulseek
username on the
forum!

Most of y'all already know that DJ Shadow
did a remix for "The Gloaming" by Radiohead. The final mix of this
track was done at the
SFSOUNDWORKS
studio in San Francisco.
The track on the radio is the mix
Shadow did at home. The finished master is a MONSTER of a track, just
huge. It's similar to Monosyllabic but way more evil sounding.
All the Bush samples are from the SAME SPEECH (!) when Bush was
trying to sell us the war. And he couldn't even use everything from
the speech, there was too much.

Spencer Blues Explosion" album. Note that this has not been confirmed
in anyway. But if it's true, y'all read it first here! Keep checking
this page for more info as soon as it's available.
